Story
Today I walked up and down Shutlingsloe Tor, part of the Three Peaks Challenge, as apractice walk for the Three Peaks Challenge in June! Despite hitting my target I am still hoping for further donations but thank you SO much for the very generous donations already received!!
After the tragic death of little Alfie Evans this week I am even more determined to raise as much as I can to help a charity that does so much to support dying children, teenagers, young adults and their families!
Coincidentally I’ve been to the Francis House Open Day recently and seen first hand the facilities that our efforts and donations support!! It is an amazing place with dedicated staff giving the best care to children, teenagers and young adults in amazing surroundings!

Two years ago I was discharged home in a wheelchair with little prospect of walking again
I had been in hospital for 10 months following numerous brain surgeries for aquired normal pressure hydrocephalus most probably caused by contracting viral meningitis
This condition is often diagnosed in young children
With the support of my husband and rehabilitation team I have worked very hard to regain total independence and full mobility within the last two years
Walking is part of my exercise regime to maintain my mobility
I have chosen the shortened course of the Three Peaks (6.5 miles) as I think it represents a realistic challenge for me
Please support me with how little you can afford to donate, in memory of my parents who died last year (but who I know would be willing me on) and to help raise funds for this fantastic charity who care for children and their families
