Story
I am proud to be running the London Marathon in April 2024 on behalf of the Isle of Wight Cats Protection. I am busily trying to fund raise through car boot, yard sales, online sales, selling memory ribbons and an Easter raffle. It has been hard trying to raise money especially in these difficult times, I have my own pets and the cost of vets and foods has risen so sharply that even if i wanted to adopt another 10 cats to join the two I have financially it would not be possible. The costs of looking after animals in an animal centre for feeding, neutering etc before they find their forever home must be off the scale, this is why I am helping. What would we possibly do without these animal charities.
I have been running since August 2017, I absolutely love running and what better way to fundraise for the IOW Cats Protection than to take on another marathon. This will be my third London Marathon the second for Cats Protection, having also completed two London Virtual Marathons too around the Isle of Wight and Southampton Marathon. This will be my last London.
I will also be taking part in Miles for Moggies in May 2024 and will be aiming to complete 2 x half marathons in the month of May which is not easy after completing a Marathon...however I have actually signed up for the virtual marathon end of May x
I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported me through my marathon journey, me and the cats fully appreciate all of your help, I may be running the London Marathon but it is you who will be making a massive difference with help towards our lovely cats 🐈 😻 🐈⬛ 😊 x
