Story
I've always been lucky enough to live in a country safe from war and which legally supports my right love and marry as I choose. My wonderful wife and I are able to live entirely openly together, we are surrounded by a community which has always welcomed us and supported us. Unfortunately not everyone is so lucky. The war in Ukraine is causing terrible hardship and LGBT+ people there need extra help to stay safe from bombs and from homophobia.
GiveOut has activated their LGBT+ Emergency Fund to support OutRight Action International in funneling support to grass roots LGBT+ organisations in Ukraine and it's neighbouring countries so that they can get on with the urgent work of supporting people. Let's give them some money!!
On the 16th of April I successfully finished my 30 day sketchathon and with the help of some wonderful donors raised double what I was hoping to raise for GiveOut's LGBT+ Emergency fund for Ukraine. Unfortunately the war continues with it's horrible destruction and disruption of people's lives and the LGBT+ community still struggles to access humanitarian aid amid the conflict. Also I have a handful of sketches that didn't find homes during the sketchathon and whilst I can't make and publish a sketch every day forever I can still make more sketches from time to time and I have some other artworks I'd be happy to donate to the cause.
All donations are very welcome.
Anyone donating £30 or more can request one of the available sketches.
In the comments section make sure to state which sketch you want.
