Story
This year, Bettys Harlow Carr have chosen Frank's Fund as their branch charity.
Ewing Sarcoma, a rare type of bone and/or bone tissue cancer, most commonly affects children and young adults aged ten to 25 years old and makes up about 1.5% of all childhood cancers. A child, teenager or adult is diagnosed with primary bone cancer every ten minutes, but primary bone cancer received just 0.04% of funding from the major UK cancer charities in 2017/18. Frank was a teenager from Harrogate who passed away earlier this year and his family set up this charity to fund specific research into the disease, so other children don’t have to suffer like Frank did during his treatment.
