We provide specialist palliative care to those facing a life limiting illness

Story

Garden House Hospice Care provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life limiting illnesses, to enable them to have the best possible quality of life by providing care and support in the setting of their choice, without discrimination.

My name is Betty-Leigh Allinson, i am 6 years old and during the first lockdown in 2020, i cycled for 1 mile a day for 100 days to raise money for The Garden House Hospice. Each day i wore a different football shirt donated by clubs and players all over the country from football league to non-league... including David Beckham!!

I started off my fundraising with the £7 i had saved for Disneyland as i could not go due to the coronavirus. I have now raised £33,337.05. I had the most amazing journey along the way, i became one of the England Lion Hearts for season 20/21 alongside many other inspirational people including Sir Captain Tom Moore and Joe Wicks. I was shortlisted for the final 5 of The Young Unsung Hero of the Year by BBC Sports Personality along many other exciting things!

I didn't want my fundraising journey to end, so this year i have decided to set up my very own football team called 'Betty's Blue Boys' who will be playing in many tournaments and charity games to raise some much needed funds for the Hospice❤️⚽️

Thanks,

Betty-Leigh x
