Alwinton Round, 5 June 2010
Participants: Beth Sutcliffe
We are on call 24/7, 365 days a year to provide mountain search and rescue.

Story

On the 5th June 2010 I am going to be walking the 20 mile Alwinton Round challenge walk in Northumberland to raise money for Mountain Rescue in the UK.

This walk is a long and challenging walk with plenty of hills, and involves walking through some of the most beautiful and remote countryside in England. For more information please visit the North of Tyne Search and Rescue page.

About the charity

Mountain rescue team members are on call every day, of every month, of every year. Whatever the time, day or night. Whatever the weather. They do it voluntarily. They do it without question. At no cost to the casualty. And it's thanks to your generosity, they can continue saving lives. So thank you.
