Story
In honour of my cousin, and to support a charity that helps those affected by heart and circulatory diseases, I'm running the marathon although I'm definitely not a natural runner - as many of you will know! This will definitely be a challenge, and I’m sure he’d
be laughing at the thought! So any donations would be massively appreciated!
At the age of 21 my cousin Chris suffered his first heart attack. To say that changed the course of his life would be an understatement. From then on he was in-and-out of hospital, until he sadly passed away at the age of 30.
Chris was known for his kind-hearted cheeky nature, a typical lad who loved spending time with his friends and family. His life was irrevocably changed when he was diagnosed, but he packed a lot of life in while he was here. Despite his challenges, we were all so
proud to see him graduate from University with a degree in photography, and go on to complete the first year of his Masters. But his proudest achievement was his beautiful daughter Amie, whom he loved above all else!
As an avid climber himself, we hope Chris would have been pleased that his parents laid a plaque into the rocks of one of his favourite areas in the pennines after he died. It's a fitting tribute, and a place where we can all go and remember Chris and his cheeky
smile.
Thank you for all of your support.
