Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page...
In 2010 I lost my Dad, Neil. It was a very sudden loss in very sad and complicated circumstances and I had no idea how to feel, where to turn or who I could speak to about it. I turned to Cruse who helped and comforted me at such an awful and scary time. Perhaps we could compare sudden loss to falling out the sky, and dealing with grief to a long and gruelling run that takes time?
Cruse Bereavement Care are a charity who offer advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies and work to enhance society’s care of bereaved people.
Among other projects; Cruse have partnered with Adfam to set up BEAD (Bereaved through Alcohol and Drugs). From my own experiences, Children and Young People need lots of help and support to cope with bereavement in this way. Addiction is a very sad and cruel illness that young minds and hearts struggle to cope with, especially as they get older. As of August 2017 the Lottery Funding is coming to a close so I want to raise money to donate to a charity that will be working as hard as it can to keep such projects alive and accessible to those in need of it.
I am so grateful for any donations received, big or small from your hard-earned cash. Thank you with all my heart
