I am doing the Junior Great North Run in memory of Carl who was like a dad to me.

He lost his life tragically last year when we were on holiday in Salou, we were in the sea and got caught in a rip. I managed to get out but Carl didn't make it. Sadly he drowned.

We all still miss him and I would like to do this run in his memory but also raise funds for the RNLI who also do swim safe courses with ASA in the summer to help teach children what to do if they get into difficulties in the sea. I took part in two of the courses last summer and hope to do so again this year.
