A Purple Picnic is a way for people to come together both in person or virtually to raise funds for the charity, whilst also providing an opportunity for people to remember those that have died.

Story

"I was 9 when my dad died and it was so hard for me and my mum to think we would every be happy again. My grandpa died the next day. so I lost my most beloved people in two days" Nelson's Journey supports children in Norfolk who are bereaved after the death of a significant person in their life.

The mission of Nelson’s Journey is to increase the self-esteem, self-belief and wellbeing of bereaved children in Norfolk, by enabling families and wider society to talk openly about death and bereavement, and for children to express and understand emotions.
