Story
I am taking part in the virtual race around Suffolk which is raising funds, awareness and support for volunteer clinicians of the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS).
I will be waking and running a total of 220 miles...equating to just over 4 miles a day (my dog can’t wait!) from the 1st May to the 21st June.
The charity relies on voluntary donations so this will make a crucial difference to them and help maintain their amazing activity which is often unrecognised.
SARS responders are doctors, surgeons, paramedics, anaesthetists, critical care paramedics, who are mobilised to help treat some of the most critically ill or injured patients around our county, supporting the ambulance service. They do this on a voluntary basis without charge. The demand for their resources remains extremely high and they need to raise vital funds to help cover running costs - equipment, medical supplies, drugs, PPE.
Any donation will be massively appreciated and will make a huge difference.
Thank you for helping them to save lives.
