Story
I want to say a huge thank you to every single person who sponsored me for the 25 mile Charity cycle.
I completed the route in about 4 hours...with a few breaks along the way!
Your donations kept me going, especially the last few miles when it got tough. It personally means a
lot to me that so many people were so generous! Thank you so much!!
I took part in the Rutland Bike Ride on May 15th, 25 miles around Rutland Water. This event
was to raise funds and awareness of Dystonia, a painful and debilitating neurological condition
that affects over 40,000 people in the UK.
I have a form of dystonia called Cervical Dystonia, also known as Spasmodic Torticollis, which
affects the neck muscles, and also affects my voice. I'm doing this bike ride to help raise awareness
of this condition as it seems to be that not many people have heard of it.
It's going to be a challenge for me, but I feel it's something I need to do. I will welcome any sort of
support - even just a few encouraging words!!
Visit http://www.dystonia.org.uk/ for more information about Dystonia.
Thank you so much to all those who have sponsored me so far! It's very very much appreciated!!
