I SKYDIVED FOR THE ALZHEIMER’S SOCIETY
***Unfortunately due to the weather conditions, my skydive has been rescheduled to 9th October 2021***
As a care worker, it can be extremely challenging caring for a person living with dementia. I see the awful effects it has not only for the person suffering but for their family and friends as well.
Dementia comes with a long list of problems from mild (memory loss, misplacing things in strange places, mood changes and taking longer to complete daily tasks) to severe (inability to communicate, difficultly swallowing, weight loss and incontinence).
“Alzheimer’s Society is the UK’s leading dementia charity. They campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia.”
“Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.”
On 25th September 2021 (World Alzheimer’s Month) I will be doing a charity skydive raising money for Alzheimer’s Society.
