In February this year I will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. My chosen charity for this personal challenge is Cancer Research. Cancer in all its forms will most likely have directly or indirectly affected the lives of someone close to you; this is true for me and this is why I hope you will support me in raising as much money as possible. 

It is predicted that 1 in 2 people will develop cancer at some point in their lives, meaning research into cancer prevention and cure is relevant to us all, and is urgently needed. Cancer Research funds vital research, as well as doctors and nurses in their work against cancer. The scientific search for cures and better treatments is of particular interest to me, and this work has led to a doubling of cancer survival in the past 40 years.

Any donations towards this trek would be gratefully received, and would contribute to an extremely important cause. As I have funded the actual expedition myself, all donations will go directly to Cancer Research.
