Story
On Sunday 13th October I will be taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon. I say taking part rather than running as I will be doing so 22 weeks pregnant so definitely not at my fittest!
My training has taken a hit due to a ludicrous volume of sickness and my only goal now is to get across that finish line no matter how long it takes me.
I absolutely could’ve tried again next year but Felix Fund is a worthy cause and my discomfort is worth it to raise money for such a deserving charity.
Most of you will know my Husband is an Ammunition Technician in the Army and we have been and will continue to be regular supporters of the charity as one day we may need their help.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated by myself and the charity.
Taken from the Felix Fund Website:
Felix Fund aims to assist with the well-being of individuals within the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Search Community across all British military.
We are here to help any military or SO15 (Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Unit) personnel who have conducted or assisted with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and search duties.
The consistent pressure of these roles can lead to devastating consequences across all aspects of their lives. This can manifest both physically and mentally.
We provide welfare support and financial assistance to serving personnel, veterans and their dependents.
