Event: Kilimanjaro Trek 2022, from 8 September 2022 to 18 September 2022
In memory of David Scott
Mt Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain is an incredibly challenging trek, taking us along the beautiful Machame route approaching Kilimanjaro from the south. Hiking one of the earth's largest volcanoes, trekking through savannah and cloud forest.

Story

When Dave’s illness impacted his physical movement I silently said to myself - I’ll always do physical activity because I can.

I remember vividly the look on Dave’s face when he was able to use the hydrotherapy pool at the hospice. Imagine that feeling - you are unable to move but then you are taken into a safe loving environment where you can move or at least have the feeling that you can. It felt like physical exercise for Dave.

This will be my fourth international challenge for the hospice and one that I know will test me more than ever before but I’ll be ready for it and give it my absolute all.

This is what I can do physically with the tremendous support I receive from you to ensure these services continue. The hospice and it’s services are a lifeline for people like us.

Life can change in an instant. Some good has to come out of the loss of an incredible man. I believe we met for a reason and now I have an opportunity to help a cause that helped Dave.
