Story

Did you know that stray dogs in the council pounds only have 7 days to be claimed before they are destroyed? Yes it's a shocking fact and maybe I should have said euthanised but these are no mercy killings, these poor souls are killed as they are unwanted. This is the reason that WWP started 12 years ago as the founder Lianne Evan's could not sit back and do nothing to help them. The rescue initially started as a staffie rescue but over the years we have had all breeds , shapes and sizes through the doors as we don't leave any dogs to this fate in the 3 local council pounds . In the past we have boarded the dogs in local private boarding kennels but it has always been our dream to own our own . We at WWP are all volunteers and whilst we are saving for the kennels we still need to pay the normal bills , vet, boarding, transport etc so we are asking for your help . No amount is too small as it all adds up .

Myself & Helen Woodward are taking part in Welsh 3 Peaks in 24 HR on 22nd April. The Welsh Three Peaks includes a total walking distance of 17 miles (27.4km) and an ascent of 2334 metres (7657ft), usually in less than 24-hours.

I’m also raising money for national 3 peaks on 3rd June in 24 HR.

The challenge is split across three stages, with a total ascent of 3064 metres (9,843ft) and a distance of 26 miles (42km). Each stage is marked by the completion of a mountain, Ben Nevis at 1,345m, Scafell Pike at 978m and Snowdon at 1,085m.

An amazing charity ran by volunteers, and with the increase of energy prices and new dogs arriving weekly, they have asked for charity donations to help with the listed things above.

I really appreciate all your donations and we are ready to smash it.

We love dogs, and we knew this charity was the right one.

Lady was adopted 6 years ago. She’s changed my life and she’s my best friend so I would like to give so much back to the amazing kennel that works all hours to give the dogs a chance at life.
