Story
On the 1st September, I've committed to making a life-changing decision. Some of you know, a lot don't know!
For a long time now I've vaped, after really struggling to give up smoking. I did it about 6 years ago, but replaced one addiction with another. Bugger!
Stupidly I started smoking at uni, 2nd year, and was completely hooked. I've given up for each pregnancy and had periods of time when I've abstained, but stupidly thought "just the one" wouldn't matter, but it did. I don't smoke at work and actively discourage our 3 children to never start. I never vape in front of them, but they know I do it.
I really want to stop for my family, for myself. I want to be free of the hold it has over me and what better way to do it ... be vape free for a month, and just not go back to it ....
I'm taking part in Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation's "Smoke-Free for September" campaign to improve my health and reduce my risk of getting lung cancer - all whilst supporting those affected by the disease.
Cancer really sucks ... Friends have had it and survived it 🤍 , some are going through it 🤍, others I can't say it, but I think about them, deep with in my heart, where they sit and never leave 🤍. I have a choice to be healthier, they didn't have a choice.
Sponsor me if you can, or if you can't please share on your socials and if you see me, tell me how well I'm doing! I am nervous about this, but want to stop, I don't need it, it doesn't define me.
Your support WILL help me on this journey. August is the month I get my head in the right place (any tips welcome!!)
Thank you again.
Beth 😊
