I am running the Windsor Half Marathon on the 29th September 2019 in aid of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. As most of you will probably know I love dogs and have spent the past three years living in Battersea, so the work of the home means a lot to me. If you don't know much about Battersea Dogs and Cats Home then I have included a section about their work:

"Battersea aims to never turn away a dog or cat in need of help, caring for them until their owners or loving new homes can be found, no matter how long it takes. We are champions for, and supporters of, vulnerable dogs and cats, determined to create lasting changes for animals in our society."

The home does not receive any central Government funding towards the care of their animals and therefore rely on the generosity of the public to care for the thousands of dogs and cats that arrive at the home every year.

The thought of running a Half Marathon seems pretty ridiculous to me right now and I'm quite scared, but I know it will be so worth it to help these animals get the loving home they deserve.
