Story
Julia’s House provides frequent, flexible care for children with life-limited or life-threatening conditions to give their parents a much-needed break. I have been a Lead Nurse for the charity for 14 years and I am self-funding this challenge to raise money that helps families facing unimaginable heartbreak - the knowledge that their child may not live into adulthood. Charities are unable to rely on big fundraising events at the moment so now is the time to do it.
When I started my career with Julia's House I knew it was a job for life. I see first hand the difference the organisation makes to families on a daily basis across Dorset and Wiltshire and it is incredible. I feel privileged to work for such an incredible charity.
Amazingly, Julia’s House has to raise 95 per cent of the money it needs each year to run this vital service which is why I have chosen to complete this challenge. This year has seen a significant deficit to their income stream due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19. Your kind sponsorship during these difficult times will continue to make a life-changing difference to these families.
I have always wanted to complete a challenge and completing it on behalf of Julia's House makes it all the more meaningful. This is not for the faint hearted, I am training hard and cannot wait to join the team to complete this adventure for a charity I am dedicated and passionate about.
Thankyou for taking the time to read my story and I am so grateful for your donation from the bottom of my heart. Please follow my adventure and support me to reach my target and keep this vital service going.
Thankyou Beth X
