Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided to take part in the Reading Half Marathon on the 1st April 2012, and I am running for a charity focused on brain injuries and recovery. As some of you know, early January 2011 my cousin was in a car crash, in which she suffered extreme trauma to her brain. The doctors comatosed her in order to save her life, and projected that she would not be out of hospital until the summer and certainly still in the process of rehabilitation late 2011. Without the assistance of the specialists at Southampton hospital, my cousin would not have made a full recovery. Thankfully she suffers no memory loss or change whatsoever, but many people are not so lucky and the loss of a fully functioning brain equals the loss of life as they knew it for many families.

I hope you feel this is an important cause too, or at least think that my deciding to run a half marathon to raise money for this cause is a good reason to dig into your pockets :) anything in the world you can give would be appreciated.
