OMG. What have I gone and done??! When I found out that I'd got a place for the London marathon I couldn't decide whether to squeal with delight or fear, so instead performed a combination squawk and felt slightly sick!

So here it is, I've started pounding the pavements to hit two tweety birds with one massive boulder...  raise masses of money for the NSPCC and squeeze into my dream dress in time for next July!!

I'm running for the NSPCC, and every penny that I raise will go towards ChildLine. Much as I love chortling about the daily looniness that is my job, so many of the young people I work with break my heart and have to cope with things at home that we can't begin to imagine. ChildLine is an invaluable service, vital for vulnerable or abused children who desperately need to speak out but have nowhere else to turn .

Every £4 that you donate could answer a child's call and If I succeed in hitting my target  of £2,000 I could cover the cost of all the freephone calls to one ChildLine counsellor for four and a half years. That would be amazing!!
