Story
Hi everyone
I know, another bloody 'justgiving' page, but the fact you're reading this shows you cared enough to click so I hope this means you care enough to support me.
In a moment of madness I signed up to run 10k, which to some of you might not sound like a lot, but to the girl who used to avoid cross country/sports day at all costs - I am actually very nervous.
This moment of madness came about a few weeks ago because I was devastated to find out that a close family member of one of my best friends has just been diagnosed with cancer.
After losing not only my Grandma but both my Grandads to cancer a few years ago I felt it was time that I did something postive to help people fight cancer.
I have chosen Weston Park hospital because not only did my Grandma work there but she was also treated there as a patient and it is one of only 4 specialist Cancer hospitals in the UK.
I have already started training (hilarious to imagine I am sure) and it is painful enough to run 5k at the moment never mind 10! However I still have a few weeks to go so wish me luck.
No amount is too small, I have set my target at £300 which I hope is realistic, whether I make that target or not it doesn't really matter - because whatever I raise will help somehow.
Thank you in advance to you lovely people who support me and everyone else affected by cancer, it means a lot xxxxxxxxx
