WE'VE WALKED THE WALK!   3 mile gradual climb in the dry and 3 miles back down in rain.   Fantastic views over Denbies and across to Box Hill - probably - but a tad cloudy and damp.   Miraculous appearance of an Ice Cream van at the half-way point - most surreal and very welcome.

Desperately trying to upload photos but still struggling to reduce the pixels... will keep trying.

I've loved Denbies wines for years so I was delighted to seize the opportunity of strolling round their vineyard one balmy evening .....  I hardly dare ask for sponsorship for such an indulgent occasion EXCEPT that it is for such a brilliant cause.   I have lost two very close friends to cancer and have seen other friends lose those they dearly loved and one element in all the horror that we can affect is the final caring at home that Marie Curie nurses offer.   I'm quite sure that all of you have been touched by a terminal disease at some time and know what I mean....
