Story
Thanks for your support! On Sunday 26th, the day the London Marathon would have been run, I'll be taking on the 2.6 challenge and completing 26 challenges in 5hr 20, the time I did my marathon (starting with a 2.6 mile run and 26km bike ride) Your donations, will help me star jump, sing and joke my way through the hours. Happy to take challenge requests for a donation too!
Macmillan relies on events like the London Marathon to fund it's vital support and services, for people living with cancer. 98% of Macmillan's income comes from incredible voluntary donation, so with many fundraising events being postponed or cancelled due to the Corona Virus, Macmillan needs our support more than ever.
The current Coronavirus crisis is having a direct impact on people living with cancer and for people worried about a cancer diagnosis. Screenings, treatments and referrals are postponed, jobs have been lost, face to face support is not available and many have to self isolate for extended periods of time.
Macmillan is doing incredible work flexing existing services (from getting our whole Support Line team working from home and the service back up to 7 days a week, to re-training the mobile information support team to provide additional capacity on the Support Line) and creating new ones (including a telephone buddying service and an online cancer and coronavirus information hub) to deliver the support people with cancer need in these changing times.
