I love running! I started running in 2017 when my daughter Edith had just turned 1. At this point I never thought that a very hard run around the block would progress to me running my first marathon in April 2022. It is safe to say that running has well and truly changed my life! Having completed the Manchester marathon, training so hard, hitting a very tough wall at 23 miles and taking in the buzz that I felt at the finish line, I knew that it wouldn’t be the last time that I would run 26.2 miles!
So here I am, having successfully gained a charity place in the London Marathon 2023 running for the incredible charity Tommy’s that funds vital research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth so we can keep saving babies’ lives. As some of you already know I will be starting my Midwifery degree in January 2023 and I hope that the money I raise for Tommy’s will help provide expertly midwife- led advice for parents. Tommy’s supports parents before, during and after pregnancy, and works in collaboration with midwives to provide safer and healthier pregnancies.
The London Marathon will be held on the 23rd April 2023, moving back to its original pre pandemic date. The reality is that I have just under 6 months to raise a significant amount of money for this incredible pregnancy charity that works to make the UK the safest place in the world to give birth.
I am hoping to organise some events early next year, including an infamous Neil Langham quiz making an appearance to help raise even more money.
For now, any donation to my JustGiving page would be amazing and very much appreciated.
Thank you so much ❤️💕♥️💖💗💞💓❣️💘💝🫶🏻
P.S I will also link my Strava so that anyone interested can keep track on my training! 😅 not only do I want to raise money I am also hoping to complete in under 3 hours 50 minutes 💪🏻
