Story

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page!

This year Betfair's employees have voted The Prostate Cancer Charity as our Charity of the Year.  To help raise money for this amazing charity, and because I'm a bit crazy, I've decided to take on The Ultimate Challenge!

To take part you have to complete a number of endurance events so I've done:
The London Marathon on 17th April DONE!!
South East Region Modern Pentathlon on 18th June DONE!!
The 100km Trail Walker on 16th July DONE!!
The London Triathlon on 31st July DONE!!
Dart 10km Open Water Swim in Devon on 3rd September
 DONE!!

I'd run some marathons before but this was more than I'd ever taken on especially given I'm really pretty (*very*) rubbish at swimming and the fencing and shooting elements of the pentathlon were completely alien to me.

Whilst I’m really enjoyed (*so many other adjectives I could use*) completing My Ultimate Challenge, it was all done for a good cause and so if you feel like sponsoring me that would make my aching muscles feel all the better!! Crucially, every pound I raise will be matched by Betfair!

You can continue to follow my progress on twitter (@BetfairIronLady) where there are updates, photos and videos of my training and events, as well as some other musings and thoughts. Not to mention challenges I may take on in the future...!!!.....

All the best,

Susannah 'Iron Lady' Gill
