Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I joined Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Service in 2018 as a retained firefighter at Biggleswade Community Fire Station, following in my father's footsteps who served for over 30 years.  I take great pride in  helping to serve and protect my community and I am greatly involved in raising funds for The Firefighters Charity with various events that are organised with the crew at the Station each year.  I have a great deal of support from all my family, particularly my partner Nicola.

The Firefighters Charity provides tremendous support to both serving and ex firefighters, in both their physical and mental health.

I was fortunate enough to get their help and support when I suffered mentally after a traumatic time in late 2020/early 2021.  They were of great help not only to myself but also to my family.

Myself and Nicola are therefore putting ourselves through the gruelling but amazingly rewarding London Marathon to raise as much as we can so the Charity can carry on doing their amazing work!!  Any support you can give no matter how big or small would be very much appreciated!
