Story
1000km... 9 days... 5 countries... 4 slightly unfit chaps on bicycles... 1 cause.
Craig, Matt, Dan and Sam leave these shores on 9th June en route for Berlin and the Fatherland, propelled by pedal power alone (Dover - Calais Ferry excluded).
We are in training at the moment for the huge challenge of cycling half way across the continent to raise much needed funds for the Parkinson's UK charity.
One person in every 500 will be diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the UK. The disease is caused by a lack of Dopamine in the brain and can cause debilitating symptoms which dramatically reduce quality of life. There is not yet a cure for Parkinson's disease however charities are funding research that aims to rectify this.
The Parkinson's UK charity works to improve the quality of life of those living with the disease, and can often be the first line of care in counselling those who are diagnosed in dealing with the challenges ahead.
Your sponsorship towards this cause close to our hearts would be greatly appreciated, and as a reward for your good turn I'm sure there will be plenty of photos of the three of us in tears of agony beside continental roads.
