Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

Dr Joss Adams (Consultant Oncologist) and Mark Foulkes (Lead Cancer Nurse) will be cycling to Barcelona on a tandem. Partially they are doing this because they are both insane...but mainly because they want to raise money to help the patients we care for in the Berkshire Cancer Centre.

Many of our patients receiving chemotherapy travel long distances to have treatment at one of our treatment centres. Often patients are feeling tired and unwell and find the process of travelling difficult and stressful. We want to invest in a mobile chemotherapy unit which can bring our patients treatment closer to them and reduce the difficulties associated with travelling, parking and waiting at our larger sites. The money you donate to us will be used to make this  happen and to fit out our mobile chemotherapy uniit with state-of-the-art equipment which will stand the test of time and make sure our patients get the very best in chemotherapy treatment.

The tandem ride will take around 2 weeks at an average of around 65 miles per day. We are hoping that most of it will be pretty flat...but the Pyrenees look like a challenge in this regard!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please support us and our patients and donate now.
