Fundraising for Royal Berks Charity
Each year a group of Royal Berkshire midwives, doctors and other staff organise and participate in an event to raise funds for improving the experience of families having babies in our service.
This year our aim is to transform the experience of families having twins at the Royal Berkshire so that they have the best birth experience possible. Due to lack of space for the additional equipment needed in our regular birth rooms, our operating theatre is currently the only practical environment for twin births. To change this, we are raising funds to develop a bespoke, spacious, birthing room which is a personal, private and relaxing environment for the birth of their babies. Other couples with additional needs for their care, such as those having premature babies, will also benefit from this fantastic new space.
So, to make this dream a reality, we’re stepping out of the birth room, and onto the mountains. Three teams of maternity staff will be climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales (Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis) on three consecutive weekends in June 2018.
Please will you help us achieve our goal of raising £10,000
to make our dream a reality for these families?
