Story
My partner Paul works for Missing People, a vital charity that supports missing people and their family and friends. It's something we hope never happens to us, but astonishingly about 250,000 people go missing every year, for a range of reasons.
They have a new campaign called #MissforMay, where they are asking people to give up something for the month (chocolate, wine, whatever you like). I'm choosing red meat, chicken, pork, bacon - but I will eat fish and seafood.
Now I know that my many vegetarian and pescetarian friends do this all the time! So I'm not trying to pretend this is that heroic or interesting or amazing in any way. But for anyone who knows me well will appreciate that this is going to be a tough month!
Any donations would be very welcome - and seriously giving one or two pounds is still a lovely thing to do. Goodness knows we now give a lot more than we used to. And if this is the first you've heard of Missing People then my work is done!
