Story
In July next year, I as part of a 4 person team will be taking part in the event called "Race the sun, Lake District off road" This event is a Bike, Trek and Canoe event clearly trying to beat the time the sun goes down. The team is raising funds for Action Medical Research. This is a UK-wide charity funding vital research to help sick and disabled babies and children. They fight for answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face.
The amount i am trying to raise is £2000 and I'm starting this as early as I can. If you could donate that would be amazing and if you could please share this that will also be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance 👍
Action Medical Research are the leading UK charity funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people. At Action Medical Research we are determined to stop the suffering of babies and children caused by disease and disability. By supporting us, you are helping to find ways to reduce premature birth, to support children facing a lifetime of challenges caused by disabilities, and to develop cutting-edge therapies for rare and incurable diseases.Teams of four or two are taking part in this extremely tough dawn to dusk event where they will cycle 22 miles off-road route with 2500ft of ascent around Coniston's challenging terrain, navigate a 2-mile course on Coniston Water, and finally summit the Old Man Of Coniston, one of the Lake District's most iconic peaks with an altitude of 803m, on a 7 mile round trip to raise money for this incredible cause.
