In 2015 my Grandpa was diagnosed with terminal cancer and we lost him in the October of that year. As many of you know I was incredibly close to him and since that year I continue to really struggle with his loss. The support he provided at all sports fixtures, the laughs we had and the stories he told from the life he led really did make him an incredibly unique human being. This challenge is to try and help me achieve something to move forward and know that I contributed to people who helped him when I couldn’t face it. Through the work of Marie Curie my Grandpa was able to receive the best possible care during the struggle of his last few months, whilst also supporting my Grandma in her time of need losing her husband of years. We were, and always will be, incredibly grateful to Marie Curie and this is my small token of appreciation to the outstanding work they do. Any donation is greatly appreciated and  will support me in my push to train for this event in the North East.
