Story
I'm going to attempt the South Downs Way by mountain bike on summer solstice this year, I'm doing it to raise funds for the Poole Hospital staff. Poole Hospital has looked after most of my family and friends over the years and the staff there have always done a brilliant job, there is always a friendly face in the hospital, they deserve every bit of credit for the hard work that they carry out day in day out, especially with such difficult recent times.
My route will be 100 miles long with around 12000ft of hill climb. I intend to do it all in one day and raise as much money in doing so! I will cycle from Winchester to Eastbourne along the South Downs Way an infamous off road route for hikers and bikers.
Poole Hospital Heroes;
We're proud of how our dedicated frontline workers are responding to the coronavirus pandemic. From doctors and nurses to porters and cleaners, they've all stepped up to support our community. Many of you have generously said you want a way to thank them. The Poole Hospital Heroes fund is your way of showing your appreciation. Your generous gift wont be used to pay for equipment and services the government has committed to funding.Instead we'll use it to help boost staff morale. That might be providing a free brew, healthy snack or home comforts whilst they are away from their loved ones. Supporting their mental health and well-being is vital during this unprecedented crisis.Your donation will help our amazing staff get looked after as they look after our community.
