Fundraising for Alzheimer's Society
Hello thank you for taking the time to read this!
I will be taking on two challenges this year to raise money for the Alzheimer’s society. I will be completing a 10,000ft Sky Dive on 4th August 2024, followed by an Overnight Hike of Ben Nevis on 17th August 2024.
The Hike up Ben Nevis will be 8 hours of continuous trekking, beginning at approx. 10:30pm, and covering 15km of undulating terrain over a 1300m ascent.
This cause is very personal to me and my family, as we have very recently lost my lovely Great-Grandma after a long battle with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's. Additionally, my other Grandma has also been diagnosed. My family and I have witnessed first-hand the impact of Alzheimer’s, and I feel honoured to have the opportunity to contribute to raising money for this incredible charity.
The Alzheimer’s society is an invaluable resource for those living with Alzheimer’s, providing crucial support and guidance every step of the way. Their focus on advocating for timely diagnoses, inclusivity and amplifying diverse voices ensures that support and understanding reaches all.
We all know someone who has been touched by Alzheimer’s disease in some way - whether it is a grandparent, a great-grandparent, a parent, a friend, or a neighbour. It is a reality that affects not only those diagnosed, but also their loved ones.
In supporting Alzheimer’s Society, we are not only contributing to a vital cause, but we are standing together to provide hope, support, and a brighter future for everyone affected by Alzheimer’s.
I would be so grateful to have your support for these challenges. Whether by donation, encouraging words, sharing my fundraiser.
Together we can achieve our goal and make a difference, ensuring no one is left to face Dementia alone.
