Story

This is Hope's story...

Hello, my name is Hope and I have Cerebral Palsy affecting both of my arms and legs. Me and my identical twin sister Ava were born very early at just 27 weeks and I only weighed 750g. At 18 months I was diagnosed with Quadriplegic spastic dystonic Cerebral Palsy. I am now 10 years old and even though I am a happy, cheeky and beautiful little girl I cannot sit, stand or walk unaided. I really want to be able to do as much as my body will let me.

I currently attend private physio twice a week to enable me to become much stronger in my body, core, balance, confidence and even speech. However, as you can imagine both of these therapies are costly. We have recently spent a lot of my previous fund to help pay towards adaptations around my home like a lift, wet room and ramps everywhere so that I can be more mobile, safe and happy at home with my twin sister, big brother and parents. I may also qualify for potential operations in the future which may not be funded by the NHS as well as essential equipment as I outgrow my current ones.

I am extremely lucky to have a lot of support from people who want to fundraise for me and as you can see we have already received lots of donations but we have also used some of it already due to the costs being ongoing so any way you can support us would be amazing and as a family we are forever thankful for the support and kindness. I will make sure I work hard to ensure your money is well spent. Thank you from me, Ava, Ben, Mummy and Daddy. x x x x
