Story
Howdy.
OK, so I've decided to cut off my beard. It's getting heavy and I'm quite lazy and my neck muscles are working WAY too hard to hold my head upright, so I figured if the beard's gotta go, I may as well raise some money for a good cause.
Saturday March 21st is the day the clippers/shears/scissors/machetes come out of their cases all sharpened and gleaming, and at the end of the night they will all bear the scars of attacking a beard of monstrous proportions that is 60% steel reinforced razor wire and 40% gross pubes.
I think that every single person reading this will have had their lives affected by cancer at some stage. I certainly have, as I've lost both my grandfathers to it over the years, as well as there being other battles, scares and the like too. I know even in the last year it has massively affected the families of some of my nearest and dearest friends, so anything we can contribute to helping the research to smack the big-C over the fence for 6 and out has just gotta be a good thing.
So as opposed to just getting drunk and letting Phil cut my beard off (not happening Phil), here I am raising some cashola for a good cause.
There will be photos, videos and no doubt tears. My wife probably won't recognise me and I'll end up looking like my dad, but now that I've made this page I have to go through with it, so whatever you can spare, whether you can dig deep or just rummage around the back of the couch cushions (I'll accept the change, but not the pizza crumbs. They can go to Carl) it will all go to a good cause. And then you'll be the first to see me with a chin.
I hope it's only one chin. It's been nearly 5 years since I've seen it, so anything might have happened.
As an incidental, I'll be keeping a comedy moustache for a while, which has got to be worth a couple of extra quid right??
