As some of you may be aware I've been mad enough to take up the challenge of running the 2008 London Marathon.  For me this is a huge opportunity to help raise money for something that is close to my heart. 

To cut a long story short, my father was diagnosed with cancer last year and is now virtually back to his normal self after having a kidney removed.  My chosen charity is Hospice in the Weald where a friend of ours was cared for during his final days.  My mother ran the 2007 London Marathon and I am keen to beat her  time as a further incentive!
