I'm running the Birmingham half marathon in memory of my late Granny to raise money for the repairs and upkeep of St Mary's Church, Shinfield, which just celebrated it's 950th year anniversary (hence the need for repairs). The church was a massive part of her life and continues to be a focal point for the local community. It'd be a great shame to see such an important building to her and the community fall into ruin, so any money you can spare would be much appreciated! I've been reliably informed that dry rot is not cheap.
