Story
Unfortunately, injury sidelined me for the 2022 London marathon. Fortunately, however, I was able to roll my spot to April 2023 and have been busy training in preparation. Once again, I am running for the charity Sense.
Sense, do fantastic work in supporting those who are deafblind or with complex disabilities through their work in the community as well as helping to shape government policy. One of their key strategy aims to reduce isolation and loneliness for the people they work with, I’m sure this is something we have all experienced at one point over the last 3 years. Whilst most of us have been able to return to our “normal” lives in the last year or so, loneliness is still a reality for thousands of people living with complex disabilities.
This will be my first marathon and I’m really excited to run for such a great charity. Any donation no matter how small will be truly appreciated and will go towards a very worthy cause.
Thank you to those who have already donated. I have rolled the donations from my previous funding raising page to this one.
The race takes place on 23rd April, it would be great to see some friendly faces on the way round, I’m going to need it!
