Story
A Race To Nowhere is a cycle race with a difference to raise money for The New Normal Charity. The New Normal is a volunteer-led, peer-to-peer support charity offering free services connecting people through their grief and mental health.
Throughout June I will be raising money for The New Normal Charity, by riding my bike over 100kms, so they're able to continue to support thousands of people around the world through their bereavement.
I lost my dad to cancer in 2016 and through conversations with friends I was able to better understand what I was experiencing. The New Normal is just that, a space where people can connect and better understand their experiences and together share stories, memories and feel safe in a space to explore how they feel.
The groups are completely free and are an alternative to one to one therapy, but to offer the services to more people the charity needs to fundraise.
At some time or another in our lives we have a grief that completely changes us, in some way or another, and it is only right that all people have a space to understand what they are going through and why.
I would be incredibly grateful to any money you are able to donate.
Thank you.
