Story
In August 2016 my father passed away peacefully at the Countess Mountbatten hospice in Southampton. Diagnosed with a brain tumor 13 months previous his long hard battle came to an end with his family by his side.
Thanks to the hospice we were able to be with him and able to stay with him for 48 hours as the staff not only cared for him but for us.
I cannot begin to thank the staff that were there that weekend. The doctors, nurses and staff went above and beyond to make sure that we were able to say goodbye in peace and comfort.
I am not asking for you to donate for the sake of just my dad, but for the sake of the hundreds of people who enter Countess Mountbatten every year and never leave. For those lives deserve to have an end that is befitting of each of us. And with our help we can make sure that others are treated the way I and many others would like to be.
This is mine and my families way of saying thank you. Please help us do so.
HOW TO SAY THANK YOU: In an attempt £4000 I will be riding from John O'Groats to Southampton. It is an 800 mile ride and I will be doing so over 5 days. This will be the toughest thing I have ever done in my life. Physically and mentally it will push me beyond my limits and I hope that I will be able to document my journey with you.
UPDATE: This is the second fund raising page I have opened. The first one saw me reach my target and has raised over £4,600! I am a few days into my ride while writing this and I really can't thank you enough for your support.
Thank you
Ben
