Chippenham Half Marathon · 7 September 2014

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

I'm Benjamin Harding, a 24 year old from Bath Spa taking part in the Chippenham Half Marathon.

I'm running in aid of the Stroke Association. The reason I chose to run for this charity is because a friend of the same age as me, experienced a severe stroke and had to undergo complex brain surgery, showing that stroke does not differentiate between age. Thankfully she is alive and well.

There are currently only 12 people in the UK trained to undertake the surgery that helped save my friends life. Donations will help train more doctors the complex surgery.

Please donate generously.

Thank you.
