Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many of you know I have never been an athletic type and tend to be known more for my love of food.
In March this year I joined a fantastic group of runners. The Couch 2 5K group is headed by Rick and is made up of amateur, serious and club runners who help others who have never run before to be in a position to complete a 5 Kilometer run. The group usually run the plan over 10 weeks to help those taking part be ready for the celebration run at the end of the plan.
Earlier this year, I not only completed my 5K run, but I was privileged to lead a group of volunteers and new starters through the plan and they achieved their own 5k run.
The next challenge for me as a runner, is to take part in an official race and to run for 10 Kilometers. To give you an idea of the distance it is approximately the distance from Blackburn to Accrington.
The event is taking place in Lytham St Annes and is being organised by the Fylde Cost Runners.

I am training with the same running group I started with, but I realised I need a really good reason to keep pushing myself. To keep me focused and to endure the aches and pains at running such a long distance. I thought that as the run was organised to support the efforts of the Movember group, I would run to support them.
So yes, I am growing a "Mo" at the moment and come the 30th November it should be quite prominent. Although it is really itchy!
