Story
For those of you who know me fairly well, you’ll know that I love to run to keep fit, so I’ve decided to have another go at the London Marathon and help raise vital funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
As I join more than 40,000 runners, surging through the streets of London, I’ll be spurred on knowing I will be supporting the CF Trust with your generous backing.
As I push for the finishing line, I know the pain will be worth it if I have the support of family, friends, colleagues and clients alike.
My fundraising target has been revised to £5,000 and I would be very grateful if you could please help me to reach this goal. It’s really quick and easy to give using this JustGiving page and 100% of your donations will be going to the CF Trust.
Thanks very much in advance to all of you who will be supporting me and to my joint sponsors Benham & Reeves and InStyle Direct who are longstanding supporters of the CF Trust and encouraged me to do this charity run.
Philip
What is Cystic Fibrosis?
You may not have heard of Cystic Fibrosis (CF), however, it is one of the UK’s most common life-threatening inherited diseases. CF causes internal organs to become clogged with thick, sticky mucus, resulting in chronic infections and inflammation of the lungs.
As it receives no Government funding, the CF Trust relies on charitable donations to continue its vital work which includes life changing research into new drugs, caring for sufferers who are mostly children and young adults, and improving access to lung transplants.
Any donation amount is appreciated as together, we can make a huge difference.
