Fundraising for NSPCC
Story
First of all, thank you for clicking on my JustGiving page!
A little about me:
I’m going to be honest, this is a massive challenge for me both mentally and physically. In 9 months I will be going from “couch to 5k” to a marathon. It’s a huge undertaking, but I’ve got the determination, grit and drive to do it! I’m also powered by the knowledge that I can give support to a charity I feel very strongly about by fundraising for this event. I appreciate anything you can donate, and if you can’t, sharing my page doesn't cost a thing! I’ll be keeping you all updated on my journey from couch to marathon!
A little about the NSPCC:
* The NSPCC have been helping and supporting children through services such as the NSPCC Helpline (where adults can get advice or share their concerns about a child) and Childline (giving children access to trained counsellors by phone, 24 hours a day) helping over 4 million children since 1986.
* The charity does things like visiting schools to help children understand what abuse is and helps them find the confidence to speak out and seek help if they ever need it.
* Through campaigns like the “Underwear Rule” and “Share Aware”, the NSPCC offers help to parents on how keep their children safe.
*Provides information and resources through their website on how to protect children
