Story
Ben was suddenly diagnosed with leukaemia, his diagnosis was on a Friday and he started his chemotherapy treatment on the Monday. He carried out a brave battle for 13 months and received a bone marrow transplant, living in a hospital room with restricted visitors, never returning home. He lost his battle in December 2018 aged 15 years old.
I will be walking the Camino del Norte along the northern Spanish coastline for 537 miles starting on the 20th April to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer in memory of Ben.
Young Lives vs Cancer provided us with accommodation near to the hospitals in Oxford and Bristol so that we could be with Ben.
Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
All contributions will go to support the work of Young Lives vs Cancer; everyday, 12 more children and young people will hear the devastating news that they have cancer. Our workers are on the NHS frontline to get brave children with cancer through the COVID-19 crisis. But every day more children and young people are being diagnosed with cancer. We urgently need your help now to stop children and families facing cancer alone.
Young Lives vs Cancer are seeing a 60% reduction in income due to the Coronavirus, and of course families need them now more than ever. £200 could cover the cost of a grant, given to families when their child receives a devastating diagnosis, as well as an hour with a social worker to help ease their worries.

Thank you for your support.
