Meet the Bend JVs:

Katie (she/they) is from Lexington, KY and will be serving as a Community Outreach Specialist with Thrive Central Oregon.

"I serve because I am deeply passionate about disrupting systemic barriers and helping to form accepting multicultural spaces. I especially love learning from new perspectives and forming meaningful relationships with others."

Mitch (he/him) is from Omaha, NE and will be serving as a Community Health Care Navigator with Deschutes County Health Services.

"I serve because I have spent most of my life doing things to advance my interests. I want to spend a year doing things that aren't instrumental for my life goals but will leave a positive impact on others."

Katy (she/her) is from East Walpole, MA and will be serving as 
a Community Outreach Specialist with Thrive Central Oregon. 

"I serve because I believe in the Jesuit Volunteer Corps’ mission to promote social justice through service and compassion. I am excited to get the opportunity to work with other like-minded individuals in creating a more equitable world."
