Story
My fiancé and soon to be wife, Hayley, has a glioblastoma and has been living with it since diagnosis in 2021. However it took over 2 years of multiple doctors, A&E trips and other hospital appointments to get a diagnosis. She started showing stroke symptoms but A&E staff simply told her she was stressed and sent her home 4 times. Had these staff been aware of the symptoms of brain tumours, then perhaps she could have a got a much quicker diagnosis and started treatment much earlier.
Sadly we hear far too many stories of people with similar experiences getting diagnosed and every day makes a difference, and could save a life.
